Sylas is a determined little man and has decided it’s time to take up drinking from a regular cup.  Guess his little mind has been analyzing how his big brother, mama and dada drink.  I was pretty surprised that he didn’t make a mess all over.  He was never big on the bottle since he was breastfeed from the start and we had a hard time getting him to even take a bottle of breast milk.  So, we went straight to the sippy cup when it came time to introduce water, milk, juice.  We try to avoid giving him lots of juice even to this day so, it’s mainly water during the day and his milk.  He also wasn’t too happy with a sippy cup and chose a cup with the straw instead.  My oldest on the other hand took longer getting on a regular cup.  Being a bottle fed baby his baba was his baby. 

This little guy is growing so fast.  I would love to give some tips, but I can honestly say this little man self taught himself the skills of drinking from a cup.  I will say though with my oldest when he was making the switch to a regular cup he had a Reflo cup.  It’s a basic plastic cup with a little stopper half way down that slows down the flo of the beverage.  It was pretty good, but make sure not to push the stopper too far down or you will have troubles getting it out.

He’s also trying to master using spoons and forks.  That still gets messy when it comes to yogurt or similar foods.  He’s getting more independent, but is still a sucker for cuddles at nap time & bed.  Which I’m not complaining about because before I know it he won’t want to cuddle and hang out with mama.
