When I moved into my new house in Hamilton,On and saw old war planes flying over head I headed to Google to do some research and that’s when I first heard of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Since than it has been on my to see list and this summer it will be happening.
The museum is home to over 40 aircraft and it is open to the public 362 days a year. See many aircraft of the past up close. There is also flight simulators to try out for free. Pick up something at the gift shop and help support the museum. It would make a great day trip for the summer holidays. It is located at 9280 Airport Road in Mount Hope, ON L0R 1W0 right at Hamilton International Airport. Free parking is available.

Some of the aircraft you can see on display Avro Lancaster, North American B-25J Mitchell Mk. III, Fairey Firefly Mk. VI, Douglas DC-3 Dakota, Beechcraft Expeditor plus many more. Some even flown regularly to this day.
