This is the first month I have recieved an Ipsy Glam Bag and I’m pretty happy with it. Each month they have a different theme and a new set of full size or deluxe samples along with a new makeup bag. You can take a peek ahead of time or wait until it shows up in your mail to see what you got. I’m going to go ahead now and share what I received this month and my thoughts on it.
Inside My Ipsy Bag
- Formula X- Huntress
- Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner (Black)
- Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer
- Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum
- SLMissGlam W20 Angled Eye Brush
- Navy blue & Gold cosmetic bag
The Formula X nail polish in Huntress is a dark green with flakes of gold in it. I have not tired it yet, but I think it will be a good color for this time of the year. This is also my first time trying out any nail polish from Formula X.
I love the Eyeko Skinny eyeliner. I’ve used it a few times already. I’m a fan of liquid eyeliners like this since it has such a precise tip and makes a nice fine line. You can build it up to a thicker line no problem. The color is very pigmented and bold. Black is my go to color for eyeliners. I currently have this in my makeup bag in my purse.
Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Primer I have used in the past. In fact I just finished a tube of it. This is used on your face before applying your concealer and/or foundation. It’s a beige color, but when applied has no color. It glides onto the skin easily and leaves a silky smooth finish. It helps my makeup application go on more smoothly and have less visible pores. It doesn’t leave a greasy feeling which is great. It works well with my acne prone skin.
Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum is new to me. I have never heard of the brand, but looked it up when I saw it was in this months glam bag. I was excited to receive this and try it out. I’ve been using it for a few days so, far and it seems to be going good and I’m considering purchasing the full sized once this one is done. I apply about a pea sized amount and apply to skin. It sinks into your skin fairly easy and leaves a smooth and silky finish. It has a light scent, but nothing too strong and it has not irratated my skin.
The SLMissGlam makeup brush is adorable. I was excited to receive a new makeup brush because you can never have too many. The tip is pink and fades to white and has 2 gemstones on the handle. The hairs are synthetic and cruelty free. The bristles are super soft. I love it.
So, overall I’m pretty happy with my first Ipsy Glam Bag. I’m looking forward to the sneak peeks for December and will be keeping my eyes open for them on social media. If you love cosmetics and all things beauty this is a great subscription bag. It only cost $10 a month (US) and $14.95 for Canada.
