Glycolic Acid At Home Facial Peels

Last Monday I started using a Complete Glycolic Acid 30% Chemical Facial Peel Kit.  In the past I’ve used the 10% at home kit and felt like I would be fine to move up.  I’m using it mostly to help fade past acne scars that I’m left with.  The kit I got contains everything you will need to complete a facial at home other than baking soda which is used to neutralize the peel one your finished. You can pick that up for about $1 at your local grocery store.  The bottle of 30% glycolic acid has enough to do many peels.  Since you only need a thin layer applied.

Contents of Complete Glycolic Acid 30% Chemical Facial Peel Kit

- Alpha Hydroxy Daily Cleanser
- Alpha Hydroxy Daily Toner
- Alpha Hydroxy Moisturizer
- Fan Brush
- Gauze
- 30% Glycolic Peel

Uses

- Reduce appearance of scars
- Reduce Acne
- Brighten dull complexion
- Smooth Wrinkles & fine lines
- Help even out complexion
- Unclog pores
- Help minimize pore size

When I first applied the peel to my face using the fan brush to apply a thin layer it began to sting  slightly, but it wasn’t unbearable.  I only left the peel on for 2 minutes the first time.  I did notice redness, but that’s expected with this type of facial peel.  It had faded within in a few hours.  After you neutralize the peel and pat dry your face  apply the alpha hydroxy moisturizer that’s suppose to help eliminate peeling and dryness that can happen after a peel.  Even after just one use I can feel a difference in my skin.  My skin feels softer and the complexion is a little more even than it was.   6-8 glycolic acid peels are recommended.  It’s best to wait a week or 2 between each one.  You don’t want to over do it.

*I will be posting a before and after picture once I’ve completed it*

*Remember* I’m not a professional.  I’m just sharing what works for me.  It might not be right for you.  If your not sure what your doing or misuse it the peels are strong enough to cause burns and do damage to your skin.  Be careful and do your research before starting your at home kits

Mineral From The Dead Sea Derma Repair Acneclear Antioxidant Face Wash

I love trying different face washes and see what works best with my acne prone skin.  Over the years I’ve used some that worked great and others that worked not so great.  Today I’ll be telling you about my newest face wash.  I picked up Mineral From The Dead Sea Derma Repair Acneclear Antioxidant Face Wash for about $5.99 at Winners.

This wash contains Vitamin C, D3, E, A, Dead sea salts and minerals. It helps heal, prevent and dry out blemishes while deep cleaning your pores.  It did not dry out my skin at all.  When I first used it I thought it felt a lot like fine sand texture so, it does feels like an exfoliant.  It leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed.  No redness or irritations.  It comes in a 6oz Squeeze tube with flip top.  I’ve been using it for a month now and still have plenty left.  I have been using this daily and will continue using it since it’s been helping keep my skin clear and not drying it out.

Instructions

  • Apply to dry skin
  • In circular motion rub it on your skin
  • Add a little water and continue the circular motions
  • Rinse well

Mineral from the Dead Sea Derma Repair Acneclear Face Wash is Cruelty Free & Hypoallergenic.

Guiltless Glamour by Devoted Creations

Guiltless Glamour

Guiltless Glamour is a facial maximizer tanning lotion.  It comes in a small bottle with 3.5fl oz (100ml) of lotion inside.  A little bit goes a long way, so this would last for awhile.  It’s shine free, Blemish free, Redness reducing & tinted.  Before getting this I never used lotion on my face while tanning because I was scared it would make my acne prone skin break out.  My face was not tanning as well as my body was, so I needed to try something.  When I saw this lotion and saw “blemish free” I wanted to give it a try and cross my fingers I didn’t break out.  The lotion has no scent to it.  The tint is pretty sheer and light weight.  It’s easy to apply.  After I get out  of the bed I have no shine from the lotion on my face and my skin feels smooth.  In the winter my skin gets pretty dry on my nose, but this lotion has worked wonders.  I haven’t had any break outs while using this and would recommend this to people who want to use a tanning lotion on their face, but have acne prone skin.  Oh and my face is finally getting darker now!  This is one lotion I will be keeping in my collection.

One of the top ingriedents in this lotion is apricot kernel oil.  Apricot Kernel oil is used in skincare products and is good for dry skin, oily skin, acne prone skin, eczema and dermatitis.  It contains vitamin A & E and helps the skin keep balanced moisture and it also has a soothing effect on the skin.
