Zaggora Hot Pants Vivas

Last summer I had the chance to try out Zaggora HotPants when they first came out. You can find the original post here and the update here.

Well once again I got to try out Zaggora HotPants, but this time I tried out the Viva in Pink with orange trim.  I loved that these come in different colors and not just black.  These have NO zipper.  So, just pull them on and your ready to go.  I think the material was thinner, so I was able to wear them under my daily clothes when I ran out. These are made of Neoprene, Polyester and Nylon.  The material reminds me of a wet suit type material and kind of makes a “swooshing” type sound when walking I noticed.  That didn’t surprise me though since the originals did the same.  I won’t complain though they did their job and the sound was gone when worn under pants when I went out.

HotPants work by helping increasing your core body temperature which helps you burn off even more calories than you would without them.  When tested they showed to help increase calorie burn by 26%.  I did notice that they helped increase my temperature and got me sweating way more during my exercise.  When I took them off I also noticed the skin on my legs seemed smoother.  I’ve seen people ask if you can sleep in your Zaggora HotPants.  I personally wouldn’t because you won’t see any results from just sleeping in your HotPants.  You need to be active and get moving to see the best results.

Colors: Pink, Orange, Green, Blue,  Yellow

Size: Viva Hot Pants run a little smaller, so make sure you check their sizing chart to make sure you get the right size.  You have a choice between small, medium, large & extra large.

Weight Loss In 2 Weeks

Before starting the 2 week challenge I checked my weight and measurements of my waist & hips.  I lost 3″ off of my waist and 2″ off my hips and 6.4lbs. They did help me lose more weight in 2 weeks than I normally do.

Make a Lifestyle Change

I’m 3 weeks into losing weight and being serious about it.  I’m also 4 days into the 2 week challenge with Zaggora Hot Pants Vivas.  I’ve been noticing a pretty good change already.  I’m down 6.4 lbs  and yes that . 4 counts to me.  I’m not jumping on any fad diets because I know before I start that I’m setting myself up to fail.  I’ve just been eating way healthier and paying more attention to my calories and making sure I get them from more healthier foods.  I’ve cut alcohol drinks right out since when I drink them the scale won’t budge and I end up making unhealthy food choices.  I’m excited to see a sight improvement happening already.

Food Portion Chart

I’ve added more exercise to my day.  First thing in the morning once the kids are eating their breakfast I do a quick 20 minute work out.  I love starting my day off like that since I seem to have way more energy through out the day.  Than I usually throw in another 20 minute work out while the kids are either napping or having some quiet time.  I end my day with an evening walk that is normally at least 60 minutes and sometimes pushing a stroller with the little ones.  Since increasing the amount of exercise I get a day and drinking 8+ cups of water a day I’ve noticed I’m less likely to snack in the evenings.

Now with all that said I can’t say I 100% cut out all the bad food choices.  That’s unrealistic and I know from past attempts I set myself up and go off track for a month or two.  In the end I feeling guilty that I couldn’t stay on track and wishing I would have stuck to eating healthy because I would have been closer to my goal weight.  I just make sure when I do indulge in something I love I don’t go overboard.  Example I’m not going to eat a whole bag of chips, I’m not going to load up on ice cream or cupcakes.  I have the right portion to kill off the craving.

- Start today because tomorrow your going to wish you had

- Make realistic goals

- Remember the weight didn’t come on over night.  It also won’t go over night

- If you have one bad day let it go and continue your journey

- Get up and get active

Weight loss Progress

It’s been a couple weeks since my last weight loss update, but I’ve still been on the journey.  So far I’ve lost 3lbs and don’t miss it at all ;]  I’ve been cutting back on pop and watching my portions when it comes to chips.  Usually I can’t say no to just a few, so I’ve been doing better.  I normally get 1 + hours of walking every night 7 days a week.

My weakness that is hard to say no to: Poutine

My healthy snack I love: Strawberries

My drink of choice: Water or a fruit tea no milk or sugar added.

Favorite work out: Jillian Michaels 30 day shred

Freeze Left Over Pasta? & Weight Loss Update

That is the question.

Simple Answer YES!

I love pasta, but I don’t want to be eating it for days after.  I also have the hardest time making just enough.  You would think that I’m feeding a mini army.  I separate portions into freezer bags so, when I’m craving some pasta at lunch and I don’t want to make a fresh batch I just pop it into the microwave and lunch is ready in under 6 minutes.

Also an update on my weight loss journey which I’m still on.  I’ve lost 1 lbs since last week.  Too bad it wasn’t more, but I knew it would be a slow journey. I’ve been working on my portion control, but when the weekend hits it’s like all rules are gone.  Restart.   I’ve been getting 6 days of at least 1 hour walks in and 3 days I do cardio for 30ish minutes.

Working Out & Starting The 30 Day Shred Once Again

Update!

0 Lbs lost last week

but my measurements did change by half an inch which is okay with me.  I went all week with no takeout/fast food.  Today while browsing around on MyFitnessPal I decided I would start up the 30 Day Shred again.  Last time I did it I managed to lose 10lbs.  This time it seems to be more fun because my two sons are doing their on attempt at it.lol.  It makes the 27 minutes go by faster and they are just too cute attempting jumping jacks, sit ups, lunges, etc…It also gives them some practice with counting.  The little guys were tired out and downed some water after and are now watching some cartoons together for some quiet time since I guess today is strike day for napping.

Tonight is homemade lasanga & garlic bread nomnomnom
