Last Monday I started using a Complete Glycolic Acid 30% Chemical Facial Peel Kit. In the past I’ve used the 10% at home kit and felt like I would be fine to move up. I’m using it mostly to help fade past acne scars that I’m left with. The kit I got contains everything you will need to complete a facial at home other than baking soda which is used to neutralize the peel one your finished. You can pick that up for about $1 at your local grocery store. The bottle of 30% glycolic acid has enough to do many peels. Since you only need a thin layer applied.

When I first applied the peel to my face using the fan brush to apply a thin layer it began to sting slightly, but it wasn’t unbearable. I only left the peel on for 2 minutes the first time. I did notice redness, but that’s expected with this type of facial peel. It had faded within in a few hours. After you neutralize the peel and pat dry your face apply the alpha hydroxy moisturizer that’s suppose to help eliminate peeling and dryness that can happen after a peel. Even after just one use I can feel a difference in my skin. My skin feels softer and the complexion is a little more even than it was. 6-8 glycolic acid peels are recommended. It’s best to wait a week or 2 between each one. You don’t want to over do it.
*I will be posting a before and after picture once I’ve completed it*
*Remember* I’m not a professional. I’m just sharing what works for me. It might not be right for you. If your not sure what your doing or misuse it the peels are strong enough to cause burns and do damage to your skin. Be careful and do your research before starting your at home kits
