Bellevue
Located just across Lake Washington from Seattle, Bellevue is a popular commuter city due to its proximity to Seattle and its abundance of job opportunities. Lots of people who have bought one of the Bellevue houses for sale enjoy visiting here for work or play. The city has its own downtown area, with plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, as well as a growing tech industry.
Commuters can take the State Route 520 bridge or the I-90 bridge to get to Seattle. The trip takes around 15-20 minutes during non-peak hours. Additionally, the city operates a free shuttle service, called the “Bel-Red Connector” that connects the Bel-Red corridor to the East Link light rail.
Tacoma
Located about 35 miles south of Seattle, Tacoma is another popular commuter city, due to its proximity to Seattle and its growing job market. The city has its own downtown area, with plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, as well as a growing arts scene.
Commuters can take the Sounder commuter rail or Amtrak train to get to Seattle, and there are also several bus routes that connect the two cities, such as the 590, 592, and 594. The trip takes around 45 minutes to an hour by train, and around an hour by bus, during non-peak hours.
Everett
Located about 25 miles north of Seattle, Everett is a growing city with a growing population. The city has its own downtown area, with plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, as well as a growing aerospace industry.

Kirkland

Renton

The trip takes around 15-20 minutes during non-peak hours.
